Relies on Premier Inn for customers so…
Relies on Premier Inn for customers so doesn’t care!!
This is in Bideford but starting to see that they are all the same!
One of those companies on customers that cannot go anywhere else so hasn’t learnt the basic skills of customer care. Even at the top ? management level they have no interest, so it filters down to all the staff!
Booked 3 times (3 different dates) for a meal and was turned away for ‘having no food left’! When I wrote to head office I received a flimsy ‘sorry you were unhappy’ not sorry we are crap at running a restaurant and ran out of food 3 hours before closing or sorry for your drive, here is £5 off a meal if you can ever actually get seated! Wrote again and suggested better customer care and they said they were happy with their decision to not provide better service!!!!!!
Funeral Wake (Buffet)
We recently booked this venue for the wake after my uncles funeral.
We chose the £9.99 per person buffet plus desserts and it was lovely. Plenty of food and a nice variety.
We were in the conservatory area and we were there all afternoon/evening.
The staff were friendly & helpful and nothing was too much trouble.
Would recommend as it’s very close to Bradwell Crem.
It was handy for alot of our family travelling back down South after as it’s so close to the A500 and some of the family were staying next door at the Premier Inn.
Everyone thought it was a lovely place to hold the wake.

Sidcot Arms Top place top staff.
Just spent a extended weekend at the Sidcot Arms in Somerset. Was very impressed with the staff and the can do approach to their work. Would like to as that the company recognise the following staff members Oliver, LLoyd, Ben and Amelia. This was my wifes and I first trip out in just over two years (Covid and other health issues) we were treated well and the service was excellent. (My wife and I are both old employees of the Trusthouse Forte group and have both been trainers in the hospitality industry so we do know about these things). Staff very chatty and polite.

This is a shout out to James
This is a shout out to James, the manager of Glastonbury Brewers Fayre for making us feel so welcome when we stopped for something to eat before journeying home after a week’s holiday in Somerset. We are both vegan but I also have a dairy allergy. We chose a plant- based “Hunters Chicken” style meal but when it came we both found the main part of the meal only warm. The chips were hot though so we informed James. He immediately apologised and bought us new meals which were nice and hot.
When we had finished he offered us free desserts which my husband was ok to do but there was nothing on the menu that I could have (also allergic to chocolate so even the vegan dessert was unsuitable). However, James was adamant that I also have a dessert so he offered me a dish of vegan ice cream. It was delicious. I was impressed that he was so concerned about allergies and trying to help. This is so refreshing to find a manager who actually understands allergies and the dangers of cross contamination. A big thank you to him and his two members of staff who checked on us several times to make sure everything was ok. A nice end to a perfect holiday.

Review for July 7th Thursday 9pm…
Review for July 7th Thursday 9pm (Brewers Fayre)
Just went to Brewers fayre Beckton branch today to order my steak. At the till I have ordered a blue rare steak which I have been given a well done steak after 20min wait. I went up to a member of staff who at the time got scolded by the manager who got even more frustrated when I asked him to replace my steak instead of offering an apology.
I have requested for blue rare steak to the staff again. After 30min of wait the steak came medium rare near well done in which I have called over the staff again.
The staff has called over the manager who stated that they are no longer able to offer any more steak as they are out of steaks. As a restaurant it is hard to believe that you'd be out of steaks so quick. The manger offered a full refund for this incident. At the till I have asked the manger if the kitchen staff was new as I have been here several times and there was no issues in ordering blue rare steaks in which he only responded with a rude stare. I asked the same question twice again until I got some sort of answer. This is incredibly rude and no sort of compensation was offered at all. It was a long day after work and I was very hungry and I ended up waiting 50min for a blue rare steak which was promised but never delivered. It's a shame as I have been there many times but seeing how rude the manager is and his low customer service skills I would never return there again.
Overall it was a waste of time and your branch manager needs better attitude towards his co workers and customers!
Terrible service
My partner booked a table for the 3 of us. That was quick and easy no problem. We arrived on time. Was waiting a good 10 minutes at the entrance to be seated with a hungry toddler. Went to the bar to ask if someone was coming. they told us to wait and someone will come. Didnt ask to give us a drink whilst we waited. Toddler was getting a bit distressed so we gave up and went spoons. Terrible service!!!!
Excellent!!!!…
Had lunch in Brewers Fayre Dagenham 1/7/22. Excellent service, waitress very friendly and interacted with myself and friend extremely well. Food.. Mixed Grill and Smothered Chicken cooked and presented very well, only problem too full up to have dessert ?

NEVER AGAIN
We drove to Glenrothes from Kent to meet up with my brother whom we had not seen for 4 years. We stayed in the Premier Inn at Bankhead Gate and decided to book a table for dinner for 7 people in Brewers Fayre, next door. NEVER AGAIN!!
On the 22nd June @ 7.30pm we arrived at this Brewers Fayre at Bankhead Gate, Glenrothes. We were shown our table and left to our own devices.
Having never been there before we were not sure of the routine so after perusing the menus for about half an hour and of miserable staff walking back and forth and not bothering asking if we were OK or if they could help we asked one of the staff... She was so rude to us stating or rather snapping she had told us the way of ordering when showing us to our table, which she had NOT!
We wrote down our order for drinks, starters and mains and went to the bar to order only to find that one of the starters ordered was not available, we had not been informed that anything was missing from the menu, OK so we chose another meal and waited for our starters, and waited and waited, 45-50 mins later one of our party asked a member of staff if we were ever going to be served and again she really snapped that the food would be out shortly. I wish it hadn't come out at all as it was not pleasant, over cooked and barely warm! Most of this course was left.
We waited a further 45 mins for the table to be cleared and the mains to be served, and barely warm, only to find that one of the dishes was wrong so we asked for it to be replaced with what had been ordered. Well, the waitress wasn't pleased you could tell but she went off and re-ordered the dish. Sadly 6 of our party had finished our mains by the time the last dish had been served and the diner had to eat her meal alone.
Now, this is the truth, 1 person ordered the Chicken/Ribs meal and could not get a knife or fork into the ribs because they were absolutely cremated beyond belief, the waitress was told and she said 'Didn't they give you a steak knife?' sadly a hammer chisel wouldn't have got through it. She was shown how bad the ribs were by tapping it with the fork and it was like hitting a drum!!
My brother had ordered the 8oz steak, it was SO tough he could not chew it. You could have soled your shoes with it honestly.
Another had the fish and chips and the fish was swimming with the amount of oil on the plate - absolutely disgusting! We did mention all these problems to the waitress and all she said was 'Sorry'
To be absolutely honest it was touch and go as to whether or not we would pay for these meals but we did and was so pleased to leave the establishment.
We were not given a receipt for the payment because they were more interested in offering us a voucher for a discount on a future visit… I DON’T THINK SO!
NEVER again would I nor any of my party that night re-visit this branch of Brewers Fayre and would strongly suggest the staff who had been on duty that evening be re-trained on how to interact with the public AND the Chef/Cook take further lessons on how to prepare and cook food!!
I cannot tell you how bad the service was OR the food and this will be shared with anyone who will listen, that’s how bad the whole evening was!
It spoiled my reunion with my brother and if there's a next time we will be finding another restaurant.
I have complained about the service and disgusting food and have asked for them to look into how the staff and chef/cook run this establishment... For your own sanity DON'T GO TO BREWERS FAYRE, GLENROTHES!!!
????????
We went to Brewers Farye appalling service Hordle…
We went to Brewers Farye in Hordle around 6.30. After waiting to be seated the girl behind the bar asked if we had booked I said we had not. A short while after that she said they were full for the evening. Could not believe it the restaurant was not full far from it. She said that they had some large party's coming in and they were full. Asked to speak to the Manager she said "I am the Manager" in such a tone I could not believe that she was managing this Pub and Restaurant that we frequently visit. We'll we definitely won't ever visit again, appalling customer service, think someone needs some training in customer service.

AWFUL
Went into the Bognor Brewers Fayre on Saturday 25/6/22 for lunch, very limited menu, so we opted for fish and chips. Had to go to the bar to order and pay up front, the bar man (boy) addressed me as mate, I ordered 2 fish and chips, a half of lager shandy and a Coke (off the pump) and paid Just over £ 28.The food was inedible, the service was worse. A couple on the next table having a drink decided not to have a meal after seeing the dogs dinner that was served to us.
I have traveled the world eating out in restaurants ,
this is without doubt, the worst dining experience I have ever experienced. A full refund would be in order. I can see why they take the money up front, had they presented me with the bill afterwards, I would have refused to pay. AN AWFUL EXPERIANCE!!!!!!!

Avoid Brewers Fayre Bexleyheath
We went to Brewers Fayre Bexleyheath last night (21/06) for my husband’s birthday dinner. We hadn’t been there since lockdown. Safe to say we won’t be going back! When ordering we asked for all the food to be brought out at the same time needless to say it wasn’t. They brought my grandson’s chicken out without the chips! They brought my grandaughter a side of macaroni cheese when it should have been full size, we all had ours in the end except my grandaughter when they brought her proper size macaroni cheese out it was cold we told them - they weren’t interested all we got was oh sorry so she couldn’t eat it I had fish pie that was a joke 2 pieces of fish!! The rest was mash potato which was tasteless also my daughter had lasagne but could have been eating anything totally tasteless it was an absolute waste of money!!! Definitely wouldn’t recommend and definitely won’t be going back!!!
